You don’t know what you don’t know. My daughter and I chose a college based on the University of Georgia System due to the Hope Scholarship. We didn’t realize we had options outside the System. I highly recommend you take advantage of the Free Seminars presented by Paradox. We more than likely would have chosen differently, had I known then what I know now. Paradox College Funding explained that in some cases it may be “cheaper” to chose a Private College outside the system.
I was asked to attend this presentation and provide feedback based on my longstanding knowledge of higher education, and the costs associated with it. While admitting that my expectations were that I would not hear anything new, this “free” presentation is, without question, worth the time. Unless money is of absolutely no concern, every parent and grandparent (who now play a larger role than ever in college planning) should take the time to attend this seminar. You’ll quickly realize that executing this very tedious and important college funding process strategically can lower your out of pocket costs for college. Nobody will walk out of this 60-minute talk feeling that it was a waste of time, and this information can have you and your children taking small steps now in planning to save significant dollars later.
College funding encompasses a broad range of issues and Paradox did a nice job of moving through major considerations and some of the common misconceptions in a well organized, fast paced, one hour seminar. The seminar pointed to several potential next steps that parents of college bound students to better assess their own situation with the offer for a follow-up no charge consultation to consider individual circumstances. Well worth the time.
College Planning can be an intimating endeavor. During this one-hour seminar, Paradox made the daunting seem manageable. They show you that college planning is more than just saving money; it is also selecting the right school and finding the best financial package available, regardless of your economic status.
A very informative session. Paradox presents some excellent information and data that dispel many common misconceptions of the college selection and funding process. It is clear that the knowledge and insights the Paradox team can provide can only prove beneficial to parents and students alike in making these important decisions. I highly recommend them to all, and only wish I had found them earlier!
I have three children ranging from 13 to 9 and was not sure if I needed to attend this seminar. In a short 60 minutes, I learned that not only was I wise to attend but that I will likely need professional help. The one thing that stuck out the most to me is that I would have never thought about private colleges for my three kids. We learned that the “sticker price” of a university should not be the determining factor from a financial perspective. Many private universities have funding sources (endowments and others) that bring down the cost. The seminar was a wise investment of my time.
My husband and I attended the Paradox College Funding CPR Event last night. We were both very impressed with the presentation and the wealth of information we received. Our daughter is entering high school next fall so we are already looking at her hobbies/interests as well as possible career options in the future. It is very important to match the college with what she plans to do for a career and not just go to a school because it is the college we went to or because it has a beautiful campus. I was really surpised when we learned that it may actually cost less to go to a private college/university than public. Good information. Time to start doing our homework. We highly recommend this company and program for your college bound child.
I attended a free Paradox workshop on Sunday evening and was VERY impressed with the amount of solid, common sense information shared. They did an excellent job conveying in simple, easy to understand terms what can be very confusing terminology about paying for college and choosing the best school. I know this process was stressful and confusing for my wife and I and it doesn’t have to be if you have pros like Paradox helping you.
I attended a Paradox workshop and was very surprised at how little I knew about saving for and funding college – and how much they knew about helping folks get to their goals. From what I learned in the workshop, it’s clear that trying to navigate the college saving/funding process without someone who knows the “ins and outs” would be extremely costly – and foolish. The Paradox team is the “someone” who knows what they are doing! No matter how much time you have left before the “college funding horizon”, call Paradox – they can help!!
Having three children ranging from 8 to 13, I wanted to confirm the investment path we’re on for their college education funding. At the Paradox workshop, they did just that AND taught me several different financial tactics to consider. These new tactics will position our family to maximize available finanical aid funds when we start applying in 4+ years. If we didn’t start working on this NOW, it would have been too late when our oldest son is a senior in high school. I highly recommend you make the investment in time for one of the upcoming Paradox workshops. It will be the best investment for your children’s educational future!!
